Well a month in Pa, and I am still sugar free and gluten free. I have lost 35+ lbs. and am feeling great! We now have snow on the ground, running will now be a challenge. I hope to be able to keep it up. We did 4.73 miles yesterday , it was very chilly,we found a hibernating black bear along the trail, it was about 200’.off the trail under a fallen tree!

It’s been a great week! We have been settling into our new home and enjoying the trail daily! I have enjoyed running and walking despite my garish garb! We have seen turkey daily in our yard but unfortunately have not seen any deer. With hunting season here I think they must be in hiding from all humans. We had snow 2 nights ago , so pretty but oh so chilly! Soon we plan to get a wood stove and not rely on just oil heat.
I am so thrilled I woke feeling great this morning and found the little girl inside myself again! I tried on some clothes I haven’t worn in years and they are BAGGY! Yippee!!!! So I proceeded to model all my pretty dresses for my husband! Lol I had fun! Most were dresses from a cruise we went on years ago. I am encouraged all the more so to stay off sugar and flour! I think it has become my cryptonite!
Planning to make the new year the year to Live healthy!

Did Elmer Fudd ever walk for exersice?
Well I woke to a chilly morning, got around made herbal tea and a breakfast of cantaloupe and toasted Ezekiel 4:9 bread topped with ricotta cheese and blueberries. We watched a flock of turkeys wonder through our yard, then I dressed for my walk/run. Running pants, sweat shirt And on top of that an orange vest and a red cap! Yep I looked like Elmer Fudd! But I did 2.11 miles and as soon as I got home it started to sleet. The walk / run felt great, and my timing was good!

Turkey walk!
Great walk today! Rainy and foggy a good nip in the air but yet I still enjoyed it. We did 3.5 miles on the trail, saw a flock of 13 or 14 turkeys , a bunch of squirrel too. To date I have walked over 73 miles! Staying on track with my diet too.
At the start of my walk I heard someone calling my name and here it was my cousin Mark, whom I have not seen in over 30 years! After the walk I went back over to visit- he and his family are up here staying in a cabin across the field from our house , up from Tenn. great to catch up with him!
Off to the rest of my day, have a good one! -
The Mountain’s Trail….
Well we finally made it to our destination, …2 days of driving, and walking quick (around the gas station parking lot) walks,..around the hotel parking lot. Two back breaking days of unloading the furniture and returning the U-Haul . Finally this morning I was able to hit the trail and I did so running! I walked/ran 3.21 miles, dressed in my sweats, and an added jacket, ear muffs! lol and my headset , dog in tow! the trail is graveled and it was around 30* this morning. My cheeks were bright red from my efforts first time in years to have pink cheeks! lol! Loving this fresh chilly weather even though I am not seeing the sun…
Back to unpacking boxes…
